We are so excited to be able to offer an in-person Christmas Concert this year, in the gym for grades 1-3, and a separate concert in the library for Kindergarten! Students in grades 4-6 will have the opportunity to perform in the spring.
Grades 1-3 December 8 at 7:00
Kindergarten Tues/Thurs class December 15 at 2:30
Kindergarten Mon/Wed class December 16 at 2:30
Information on how to book tickets will be coming soon, via email, with separate instructions for the Grades 1-3 concert and the Kindergarten Concerts.
Please remember that these concerts are a gift to parents, put on by staff volunteers with the help of a few parent volunteers. It is meant to be a fun opportunity for parents to see their child(ren) perform.
We are trying very hard to make the booking of tickets as fair and reasonable as possible. To this end, and with the help of School Council input and advice, we have come up with a plan, coming soon via email, which is based on a maximum capacity of 500 seats in our gym.
Update from Newsletter:
The school’s front doors will open at 6:30 for guests with tickets to enter the gym and for performing students, who will make their way to their classrooms. Every person needs a ticket, regardless of age, except for performing children.
Limited seating, due to fire regulations, meant that we asked families to pre-book tickets for the evening. You received a google form link on Nov. 22 and each family was able to book 2 tickets until Nov. 25. Please bring your tickets for entrance to the concert.
A second round of tickets was made available for families who wanted to bring additional guests, while supplies last. Families who are receiving extra tickets will be notified on December 2nd. If you don’t hear from us, you did not receive extra tickets.
We are very excited that a livestream of the concert will be available! Thank you to School Council for finding a parent volunteer to do this for us! Now, those who can’t attend due to the fire regulation numbers, and those who live fair away, can still enjoy the concert from the comfort of their home. Details to follow.
All concert tickets will be sent home in your child’s backpack (you were asked to identify the child with whom the tickets would be sent). These cannot be replaced, so if you prefer to pick them up yourself, please notify Mrs. Snow via email at email@example.com. Seating will be on a first come basis. Front doors will open at 6:30.
This year, front row seats to the concert were raffled off as a school fundraiser! The draw will take place on Dec. 2 and winning families will be contacted. If you haven’t had a chance to enter the front row seats raffle please click HERE to do so. This is your last chance as the draw will be made tomorrow and winning families will be notified via email. As well, our Fundraising Society is having a Christmas 50/50 raffle that you may wish to enter!
If you or a guest has a walker or crutches, several aisle seats will have a “Reserved for Mobility Issues” sign on them. We cannot guarantee priority seating or provide guests with mobility issues early access. Please consider having one family member wait in line and text individuals with mobility issues to let them know when they can make their way into the school.
We look forward to providing this opportunity for our grades 1-3 students to perform for you, and for grades 4-6 to perform in the spring.
